Families can now register for summer classes. Classes for summer begin Tuesday, June 23, will run for six classes, and feature the Summer I collection. Please check the classes page to preview times and locations.

We offer music classes for children newborn to age five with the adults who love them! Approximately twelve children and their parents or caregivers (nanny, babysitter, grandparent, etc.) meet for nine weekly 45-minute classes to experience new songs, chants, movement activities, and instrumental jam sessions. Both children and adults join in the circle, led by a teacher with early childhood and music skills. The teacher helps adults understand how to participate--regardless of musical ability!--and adults learn the importance of relaxing and enjoying the activities with their children.

In class, children have many opportunities to create and play--making up rhythm patterns, new words to songs, movements to express a sound. Some will simply stare and "study" the experience, as they absorb the musically rich environment. Others will sing, play, and dance freely because they are in a comfortable, encouraging environment. A dozen experiences are included in each class, ranging from playful free-movement to singing in unusual tonalities and meters.

The enjoyment doesn't stop when the class is over. Each session, families receive a new recording performed by outstanding singers and instrumentalists, along with a songbook full of pictures and activities to enjoy at home.
